2019 1st round of Models auditions, a success

Over 40 local models auditioned on 23 June 2019 for Pacific Fashion Festival 2019 at Brisbane City Council's Wynnum Community Centre. Models from all over the Pacific tried out their walk in front of a wide range of panelists including PFF founder, Cassaundra Rangip, Model Manager, Shana Afu, Entertainment Manager, Unga Tupou, Social Media Manager, Tate Maen-Wickham and Pari Hame, Torrens University PR Intern. The team behind the team supporting the logistics and planning of the event were Chare Jones from 11 Elevent Events, Sarah Jackson SKJ Designer, Kathy Jaegar, SPWIN, Esita Maen, Pacific Wave, Shante' and many more volunteers from Pasifika Womens Alliance and friends of friends - a true community collective for empowerment.

We thank all involved for such a successful day and amazing turn out. All models introduced themselves to the panelists, spoke about their background, their age and what makes them who they are. It was the 'getting to know' the models at a personal level that intrigued the panelists the most. The models were then asked to model as a group twice and then each model walked individually. Ms. Afu, model manger, provided the model the mentorship and guidance for each individual model that needed it. We had a range of models in ages and backgrounds that believed in the cause of PFF which was to create awareness and advocate against family and domestic violence hindering the development of our Pacific communities.
